Get Started

  • To request an appointment, please email me at susanarnowitz@gmail.com or call me at 516-640-6381.

  • Please call or email to discuss my fee. I am a Northwell Direct provider for the Northwell Health Tier 1 Plan. I do not work directly with any other behavioral health insurance plans. However, depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

  • I accept cash, check, Venmo and Zelle as forms of payment. In addition, Debit, Credit, HSA, and FSA cards are accepted through Ivy Pay, a HIPPA-secure payment platform.

  • If you are unable to attend a session, please be sure to cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.

  • The No Surprises Act (“NSA”) refers to legislation that became effective January 1, 2022. The intent of this Act is to protect consumers from “surprise” medical bills and balance billing, which is the practice of requiring a patient to pay costs not otherwise covered by their insurance company.

It is highly unlikely this could affect our work together since there will be no situation in which you would inadvertently receive care from me by surprise or with no choice. Please keep in mind that I am out of network for all insurance companies except Northwell Direct.

If we currently work together, you are already aware of my charges and your costs. If you are considering working with me, rest assured that I will be transparent with you about the costs of the services we agree on together. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. If you do not have insurance or are not using insurance (including not submitting receipts for OON benefits), I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate before our first session, This transparency is required by the ethical standards I have abided for the more than 20 years I have been in practice. I believe this is necessary in order for us to create a safe and trusting working relationship.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call me at 516-640-6381.
